There are many games (MMO or not) that have better customization options. It is nice when you can tailor a character's appearance to look the way you want in any game, but in an MMO it also helps break the monotony of everyone looking very similar. I really liked the alternative character models (not the original character models) in EQ2, and LOTRO is also fairly decent about this. Problem 4 is, admittedly, the least of the problems.
